Anne McKelvey Stevenson passed away on January 17, 2026, at the age of 75 in Mancos, CO. Born on February 8, 1950, Anne was a cherished member of her community and a beacon of kindness and warmth to all who knew her.

Anne attended Riverview School and Smiley Jr High, followed by Durango High School. She furthered her education at Whittier College in California. Throughout her life, Anne was known for her love of crafting, a passion she shared with her late husband, Charles Brown. She also enjoyed a close-knit relationship with her neighbors on Sixth Avenue, fostering a community spirit that will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her brother, Robert (Bob) McKelvey; sister, Margaret McKelvey Beck; nieces, Alisa Eggen, Jennifer Beck, Emily Beck, Kristen Beck, Amanda McKelvey Valdez, and Loren McKelvey Barlow; along with nine great-nieces and nephews. Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Brown; father, Robert Franklin McKelvey; and mother, Lillian McKelvey.

A memorial service for Anne will be held at a later date. The family appreciates the outpouring of support and love during this time.
