Michael Renae (Morgan) Arellano

Michael passed away peacefully at her home in Spring Creek, NV, after a two year battle with a failed liver transplant.
Michael was the daughter of Edward Morgan and Sherry Parks of Durango, CO. She graduated from Dolores County High School of Dove Creek, CO in 1987. While in high school, Michael excelled and lettered in many sports, including basketball, volleyball and field and track. She was all-state basketball for North and South games.
Michael went to college at Colorado Baptist in Denver, CO and modeled briefly in California before she returned to Denver, where she resided for the next 20 years.
Michael is survived by her daughters, Avrie (Ft. Collins, CO) and Morgann (Highlands Ranch, CO); her mother, Sherry Selph (Durango); her husband Tim Arellano and stepdaughter, Alexis (Spring Creek, NV); as well as numerous extended family.
She is preceded in death by her father, Edward Morgan, grandparents, N.P. and Louise Parks; uncle, Nicky Parks, aunt, Jeri Parks and numerous other family members.
Michael’s Memorial Service will take place at Hood Mortuary, 1261 E. 3rd Ave., Durango on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 10am. Please join the family for a Celebration of Life at 11:30am at the Elks Lodge, 901 E 2nd Ave, Durango, following Memorial Services.
