Arlene Etz

Arlene Etz, 84, of Oxford, Colorado, went home to heaven on 6/27/24, surround by her family. She was born on 10/30/1939 in Vancouver, British Columbia to Bruce and “Fay” Euphemia Elliott. In 1954, her family moved to Phoenix, Arizona. It was here that she married, John, and had 2 sons, John Jr. and Ronald.

She had been a proud resident of La Plata County since 1994. She spent 6 years working for the La Plata County Sheriff’s Office as an administrative assistant.

She is survived by her husband: John G. Etz; sons: John (Danene) and Ronald (Linda) Etz; sister: Donna (John) Urban; grandchildren: Katie (Cole), Kellie (Jared), Shannon and David (Madyson); great-grandchildren: Peyton, Harper, Thea and Della; many extended family and wonderful friends. She was preceded by her parents: Bruce and Fay Elliott.

A service will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 at Hood Mortuary Chapel, Durango, CO.
