Benny Lee Cordova born July 21, 1951, in Cortez Colorado. He went to school in Cortez and moved to Oregon for a few years where he met and married his first wife and had 2 children. Benny returned to Cortez and met and married Sondra Hover who had 3 children, which they raised the 5 children as 1 happy unit. Benny worked at the Ute Mountain Housing Authority for 30 plus years. Benny loved the outdoors hunting, fishing camping and being with family. He also had a love of cats which he treated like royalty. Benny left this life for a greater journey on February 13, 2026.

Benny leaves behind many family and friends, who will miss him deeply. Sondra Cordova (Wife). Three living children, Sheila Cordova (Josh), Benjamin Cordova, Tina Jackson (Dante). Two brothers, Ted Cordova (Linda), Randy Miera (Christina). Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother and sister in-laws, nieces and nephews.

His grandparents, father and mother, two brothers and a sister, two daughters, Marina Cotton and Joy Graves, and one granddaughter, have all preceded him in death.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date to camp fish and share memories.
