Patcience Keli Torivio passed away on October 27, 2026, at the age of 26, after a long and hard-fought battle with brain cancer. Born on September 10, 2000, she met life with a fun and loving spirit, carrying the biggest smile and the loudest laugh, and always seeming ready for anything.

Patcience graduated from Colbran in 2018, a milestone that marked one chapter in a life defined most of all by the joy she brought to others. She loved playing Fortnight with her mom, her bonus grandma Lisa, and her best friend Josh, proudly calling them the ultimate squad. Those who knew her will remember her energy, her warmth, and the way her laughter could fill a room.

Among the moments she held closest to her heart, none meant more than becoming a mother. Giving birth to her son, Mateo Gallegos, was her proudest accomplishment, and being his mother brought her deep pride and love.

She is survived by her mother, Emily Archuleta; her step-father, Dominic Vasquez; her brother Estevan Gonzales; her sister Aubreana Gonzales; and her step-brothers Dominic Vasquez and Dylon Vasquez. She is also survived by her father, Erik Torivio, and Valarie; her brother Erik Torivio; her sister Bailey Torivio; her grandmothers, Loretta Silva and Nelda Martinez; her beloved son, Mateo Gallegos; and her partner, Lucas Gallegos. She lived surrounded by family, and that circle of love remains part of the legacy she leaves behind.

A Mass will be held on November 3, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 254 E 5th Ave, Durango, Colorado 81301.

Patcience will be remembered for her bright spirit, her fearless heart, and the joy she gave so freely. In the love of her family, in the pride she found in motherhood, and in the memories of laughter shared with those closest to her, her life will continue to shine.
