Christina Annette Sanchez was born on May 22, 1972, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to James and Agnes (Rivera) Sanchez. She was the beloved middle child, joining her brothers, James Jr. and Michael. Christina gained her angel wings on April 7, 2026.

She spent her early years growing up in Ledyard, Connecticut, before relocating to Colorado in 2010. In 2011, she cherished the opportunity to live in Trinidad, Colorado, in her grandmother’s home, a place that held special meaning to her.

Christina was deeply rooted in her faith and found joy in reading and music. She had a special gift for creating warmth and beauty in her surroundings, especially during the holidays, when she lovingly decorated her home and made it a shining centerpiece of her neighborhood.

She pursued her education at Trinidad State Junior College and Southern Connecticut State University, always valuing learning and personal growth.

Family meant everything to Christina. She held a deep love for her aunts, uncles, and especially her cousins. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, kind heart, and the care she showed to everyone around her.

A Funeral Mass will be held on May 30, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Christina will be laid to rest in the family plot at New Rosa Cemetery, with a reception to follow at the church hall.

In honor of Christina’s life and compassion, memorial contributions may be made to Wolfwood Sanctuary in Ignacio, Colorado.
