Donald Wells Kuebler

Donald Wells Kuebler passed away at home on January 21, 2023. He was 73 years old.  A Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 27, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at Hood Mortuary Chapel in Durango and burial will follow at Cortez Cemetery.

Donald was born September 11, 1949 in Ignacio, CO, to Nedra and Thomas Kuebler. He grew up in Towaoc and Ignacio, Colorado. He worked for the Ute Mountain Ute Indian Tribe most of his life. After the passing of his parents, he retired to Ignacio, as he is a Southern Ute Tribal Member. He enjoyed hunting and eating with family, though he was a very private person.

He is survived by his brother: Raymond Kuebler, Sr.; partner: Ruth Watts; cousins: Juanita PlentyHoles, George Wells, Jr., Aldric Wells, Genevieve Thompson; nephews: Tony McCook, Shane McCook, Mario Kuebler, Brian McCook; Nieces: Pamela Greaves, Amanda Mahkewa, Raelina Kuebler, Norine Silas & Kerri Kuebler; Many extended family and friends.

Preceded in passing by his parents; sisters: Laura Kuebler and Ella McCook; brother: Norman Kuebler.
