Dora Lynn Partridge, 62, of Durango, CO., passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, January 20, 2023. She was born in Rochester, MN, on October 21, 1960. She graduated from Norfolk Sr. High in Norfolk, NE in 1979. She went on to fulfill her dream of becoming a physical therapist, by graduating from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1984.

After working as a traveling therapist, Dora worked in private practice starting in 1986. She eventually opened her own practice in 1993, Partridge Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Center, Corpus Christi, TX. As an accomplished manual therapist, she expanded to Partridge Seminars where she taught shoulder rehabilitation and women’s health to therapists and other healthcare professions.

Dora was a woman of integrity, kindness, and optimism with a passion for life and eagerness to encourage others. After dedicating her career to teaching and helping others overcome injury and disability, she retired in Durango, CO with her lifelong companion Dorothy Brown. She spent her time playing golf, skiing, fishing, and playing with their dog, Bella.

Dora is preceded in death by her brother, Doniven R. Partridge; father, Dale L. Partridge; grandparents, Loyal (Jim) & Helen Partridge and Lloyd R. & Elizabeth M. Loen. She is survived by her mother, Leanne Joyce Partridge of Fremont, NE; sister, LaRae (David) Thernes of Nickerson, NE; niece Elizabeth (Brock) Pierson; great niece, Cora Joyce Pierson of Hooper, NE; and lifelong companion Dorothy Brown of Durango, CO.

Dora’s faith in God was sure and now she’s held securely in His arms. Interment will be held at Hills of Rest Cemetery in Sioux Falls, S.D. in the near future.
