Edward Howard Griggs IV, 45, passed from this world to Heaven on July 19, 2025. He was a Purple Heart Recipient and highly decorated combat veteran, who put his life on the line for all Americans.

He was the Gunner of a military vehicle when it hit an Improvised Explosive Device (IED). He served 7+years in the Army until his medical discharge. He served combat tours in Afghanistan, Kuwait, and Iraq.

He was an avid Avalanche hockey fan. He loved to bowl, hike, snow mobile, rock hunt, and was one of the best snowboarders on the mountain.

He looked forward to each time his beloved daughter Kaylee would visit him. He loved and cherished her so much.

He was very active in Vets4Vets, Honor Guard, and The American Legion. He attended Pagosa Bible Church and a men’s combat veteran bible study. He was a very talented man and jack of all trades.
