Floyd Norman Jameson passed away Friday, April 18, 2025, at home. He was 63 years old.
Floyd was born March 24, 1962, to Willie and Virginia Jameson in Phoenix, Arizona. He grew up in Gallup and Borrego Pass, New Mexico and graduated from Gallup High School. In his youth, Floyd served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Floyd worked for the Navajo Nation in the departments of Fish and Wildlife, Resource Enforcement and Police Department, and with the Southern Ute Indian Tribal departments: Gaming Division, Police Department, and with TERO (Tribal Employment Rights Office).
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and loved to eat good food. While with his various law enforcement appointments, he enjoyed keeping in shape and working out. Floyd also enjoyed travel; he loved the Dallas Cowboys. He crafted and made pottery as well as Kachina Dolls.
He is survived by his wife: Jolene Hale; children: Meagan (Michelle) Jameson, Kyle (Madelain) Jameson, Morgan Jameson, Matthew Jameson, and Kirstyn Jameson; grandchildren: Adrian and Delano Cruz-Lopez, Joshua DeFellipo, Damien Martinez and Mikael Jameson; Siblings: Don (Mary Jane) Jameson, Shirley Jameson, Maizie (Jon) Will and Elaine (Frank) Jameson-Yazzie.
He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Paul Jameson, John Jameson and LaVerne Jameson.
Funeral/Memorial services will be held at the Southern Ute Memorial Chapel on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
