Marian Frost

Marian K. Frost, 46, died Monday, September 1, 2014 at her home in Longmont, Colorado. A wake will be held at the home of Raymond Frost, Jr., 56 Piwood, C.R. 517 – Ignacio beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5th. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the Southern Ute Memorial Chapel and Deacon Larry Tucker will be officiating. Burial will follow at Ouray Memorial Cemetery in Ignacio.
Marian was born November 14, 1967 in Durango, Colorado the daughter of Raymond Frost Sr. and Mary Ellen Frost. She grew up in Ignacio and attended Ignacio Schools. She moved to Longmont, Colo. in 1999. She met her companion and friend, Joseph Armijo in 2003 and they began sharing their life together.
She very much enjoyed native arts and crafts and playing guitar. Wimpston and Bobbycat were her beloved pets and family as well. Marian was an avid Colorado sports fan, especially the Denver Broncos.
Marian had a wonderful and teasing sense of humor, enjoyed karaoke and the Colorado Mountains and the outdoors.
She is survived by her husband Joe Armijo of Longmont, Colo., her father and step-mother, Raymond Frost, Sr. and Edna Frost of Ignacio, a Son: Cody Mills of Colorado Springs, Colo., her siblings: Raymond Frost, Jr. of Ignacio, Lena Melrose of Ignacio, Roxane Frost, Emmett Frost of Ignacio, Jeannette Frost of Ignacio, Heather Pardo of Ignacio, Rodney Red of Ignacio, Robert Jack of Ignacio, Conrad Kingsley of Towaoc, Colo., Carl Hamlin of Towaoc, Yvonne Phillips of Ignacio, Glen Frost of Ignacio, and Audrey Frost of Ignacio and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins as well as many close friends and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Ellen Washington Frost, siblings, Dale Frost, Nathaniel Jack and Bernadine Frost.
