Georgia House

Georgia Lou Keane House was called home to her heavenly father Sept. 23, 2020, nineteen years
to the day that her Mother Jean was called home to the Lord. She was surrounded by her
husband, children, and grandchildren.

Georgia Lou Keane was born August 17, 1937, to Jack and Jean Keane, on the Keane Ranch in
the Upper Piedra in Hinsdale County.

She enjoyed her time on the ranch where she rode her horse "Pal" to Debs Schoolhouse where
she and her brother attended school. Georgia Lou loved playing the piano, reading, and dancing.
She attended high school at Pagosa Springs High. In 1955 she was crowned Red Ryder Rodeo
Queen. She later attended Adams State College, where she earned her teaching degree. After
college she went on to teach first and second grade at the Pagosa Springs Elementary School.
She was a member of the Methodist Church of Pagosa Springs.

Georgia Lou met AC House, the love of her life, and they were married July 15th, 1960. They
made their home on the ranch in the Upper Piedra, where they raised their six children.

She is survived by her husband AC House of Pagosa Springs and their six children: Rick (Jill)
House of Pagosa Springs, Vickie (Ron) Montgomery of Bayfield, CO, Steve (Sharon) House of
Yukon, OK, Todd (Stacey) House of Pagosa Springs, CO, David (Trish) House of Fox Creek,
CO, and Mike (Shanda) House of Arboles, CO. She adored her twenty-three grand children and
twenty-seven great grandchildren. Georgia Lou is also survived by her brother Johnny Keane of
Aztec, NM, and her niece's and their families.

A public viewing will be held at the Hood Mortuary in Pagosa Springs Friday, October 2, 2020 from
12:00-5:00 pm.

A celebration of life will be held at Debs Schoolhouse in the Upper Piedra Saturday, October 3, 2020
at 2:00 pm.
