Dean William Jackson, 57, of Durango (Bayfield) passed away on February 1, 2019, surrounded by family in Grand Junction, CO.

Dean was born on April 14, 1961 to Buddy and Elsie in California at Travis Air Force Base where his father was stationed. Dean moved to Durango with his family in 1974 graduated high school in 1979, and served in the US Army, he met the love of his life Denise Ransford and married her in 1982. In July 1983 they welcomed their first daughter Nicole Lynn Jackson, in 1985 they welcomed their second daughter Mandi Mae Jackson.

Anybody who knew Dean knew he loved to sing and play his guitar, he was a long time faithful employee of city market for over 25 years. He then worked for the school district in Bayfield, Colorado, where he love to sing to all of the children in the lunch cafeteria.

Dean’s best friend in the whole world was his grandson Coleman and everybody at Bayfield School District knew how beautiful his granddaughter Shealynn was. Dean was always full of jokes joy and always a good time. Dean was loved by so many and all he wanted in the world was peace and love, so in memory of him, please be kind to one another.

Dean was preceded in life by his loving mother Elsie Mae Jackson, his big brother Dale Peters and many other loving family members. (PS and John Denver).

He is survived by first and foremost his grandson Coleman Jackson; his granddaughter ShaeLynn Dugger; his daughter Nicole Dugger; his son in law Doug Dugger; his daughter Mandi Jackson and her two kids; his loving sister Renee Glennon; loving brothers Bob and his family and Nathen and his family and his loving and caring father Buddy Jackson. Dean is so missed there just is not enough words to say.

A service will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 1:30 - 5:00 p.m. at The Bayfield High School Performing Arts Center, 800 County Road 501, Bayfield, CO 81122.
