John George Sites - we say goodbye to our beloved John Sites, loving step-father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. John was born August 30, 1948 and passed away at the age of seventy-seven following an accident in his Side-By-Side/UTV outside of Eureka, Colorado on July 7, 2026 while camping with friends.

He was born to Margaret Ford and Clay Sites who resided in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. His sister is Sondra Jackson Kellogg. Following Margaret’s death, Clay married Wilma “Sue” Fitch, who had two daughters, Sandy and Susie Ann Fitch. While he attended high school he was a member of DeMolay, a Masonic organization. John graduated from Wheat Ridge High School and then attended Mesa State College in Grand Junction, Colorado. He married Donna Autrey in Denver and lived for ten years in Grand Junction. During this time he served in the U.S. Army. John and Donna divorced and John returned to Denver. He met and married Jackie Sundquist from Pueblo. She had two daughters, Debbie Owen of Colorado Springs and Konnie Terry of Littleton, Colorado.

Jackie and John moved to Anchorage, Alaska where they lived for eighteen years where he enjoyed fishing and hunting and all that only Alaska can offer. There he owned a successful business as a handyman, worked for a utility company, and drove tour buses.

After they divorced, John moved to Florida where he met Sue Doris Miragila Allen who owned a local preschool in Punta Gorda, Florida. Sue Allen had two children, Stephanie Neeley and

Scott Allen. Stephanie’s children are Brooke and Damon Neeley. Scott is married to Brandie and they have three sons, Landon, Brayden, and Hudson Allen.

John loved his family and friends. He cared deeply for his step-children and their families, often giving of his time and resources to help them. He fulfilled the role of father, grandfather, and mentor for his family members.

He had a gift for construction and building. While he lived in Florida, he remodeled and rebuilt the house where he and Sue resided - twice due to hurricane damage. After they completed the second rebuild, they purchased a home in Winterville, Georgia, where he built a garage with an apartment above, added a large deck, and completed many other projects. He had an innate knowledge of construction and how to fix things, for which many of us are both grateful and appreciative.

His passion for driving and all things mechanical served as a common thread throughout his life - from driving tour buses in Alaska and through major cities to driving large trucks and other machinery. His passion for mechanical things matched his sense of adventure as he drove from Alaska to Florida and many other locations across the United States. He truly experienced every state.

He also shared a love for the outdoors that was foundational to his soul. As a child he enjoyed camping trips and was a member of the Boy Scouts. Many lifelong friendships formed from his scout troop. The time he spent with his sister and her husband on a fire lookout in Colorado and several family trips solidified this passion, which served as another common thread woven throughout this life. He was particularly fond of the family cabin outside of Rollinsville, Colorado. He also built a cabin near Cimarron, Colorado, and enjoyed every moment he could spend at a cabin in the woods. He passed away in the outdoors doing what he loved and in an area that fed his soul. His jovial spirit, generous nature, and truly authentic personality will be missed.

He is survived by his sister, Sondra Jackson Kellogg; his niece, Jennifer Pennell (Marcus), and their daughters, Emily and Amelia Pennell; step-sisters Sandy Cetera and Sue Ann Fitch (Rob); and his nephews, Tyler Colby and Ryan Horton, along with his niece, Shannon Horton.

He is also survived by his former wives, Donna Autery and Jackie Sundquist.

He is survived by his widow, Sue Allen, and his step-children: Stephanie Neeley and Scott Allen. His step-grandchildren include (from Sue Allen): Brooke and Damon Neeley, and Landon, Brayden, and Hudson Allen.

He is survived by his step-children Deborah Owen and Konnie Terry(Todd). His step-grandchildren include (from Jackie Sundquist): Jessica and Tyler Terry, Crystal Owen, and Steven Suppi (Danielle). His great-grandchildren include Logan and Charlotte Suppi.
