Josephine Rivas

Josephine Rivas 86 of Pagosa Springs. Went home to be with the Lord on April 19, 2025.

Josephine was born to Sulema and Alberto Archuleta on October 28,1938. Josephine was a life long resident of Archuleta County.

She is survived by her children and loving family. Thelma (Donnie) Valdez, Patricia Candelaria, Genevieve Rivas, Luis (Christine) Rivas, Ernest (Ruby Archuleta) Rivas, Daniel (Antoinette) Rivas.

Grandchildren; Holly, Eric, Justin (Devon), Lucas, Nicki, Jared (Michaela), Catlin (Brandon), Daniel (Brooke), Isaiah, Cera. Great grandchildren; Adrianna, Marisol, Mia, Lila, Ethan, Keshawn, Rudy, Avery, Ayla, Killian, Marley-Mae, Milo.

And the many who called her mom and grandma.

Josephine is proceed in death by her son Rudy Candelaria, and many other loved family members.

May 2nd Rosary 6pm at Immaculate Heart of Mary.

May 3rd Funeral Mass 10am at Pope John Paul II. Followed by burial at Hill Top Cemetery.

All are invited to join the family meal following services at Pope John Paul II.
