Judith "Judy" Reynolds

Judith “Judy” Reynolds, 83, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2025, in Durango. She was born on February 2, 1942 in Denver, CO to her parents Norve and Marydell Simmons. Judy leaves two sons: Jeffrey Reynolds (wife Patricia) of Durango, two grandchildren, Joshua of Colorado Springs, and Jessica of Durango, a second son Randolph Reynolds of Jonesboro, Arkansas, a sister Patricia Gonser (husband David) of Larkspur, CO, two nephews, Todd and Steven, and several cousins. Judy was formerly married to Willford Reynolds of Durango.

Professionally, Judy was a registered Xray Technician working in various hospitals throughout Denver. She accepted an opportunity and began traveling extensively for Sally Jobe, operating out of a Mobile Mammography Van providing mammograms to women in remote areas of several states. Judy was a compassionate caregiver and companion for elderly seniors whose families enlisted her to care for their loved ones. The last years of her life she tirelessly worked for Visiting Angels in Colorado and Arkansas.

Fraternally, Judy belonged to, and took leadership offices as, “Queen” of Job’s Daughters, Bethel #25 in Denver, “Matron” of The Order of Eastern Star, Golden Sheaf Chapter #111 in Denver. 

She graduated from South High School in Denver in 1960.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Hood Mortuary, 1261 E. 3rd Ave., Durango, CO at 10 a.m. on May 31, 2025. Friends are invited to reminisce and honor Judy’s life. The Order of Eastern Star, LaPlata Chapter #83 will officiate the service.
