Obituary

Tank Scott passed away in Durango in the compassionate care of Mercy Hospice on February 25, 2026. Tank was raised on a ranch in Leander, TX. He loved horses and had a connection to them and other animals. They loved him. He was a big guy with a big heart and a deep well of feelings. When you got to know him you saw the marshmallow interior. He wasn't raised around a lot of family in Texas but adopted his wife Karla's family as his own. He was a fine husband and father and loved his wife and son very deeply.

He is survived by his wife, Karla Danford; son, Samuel; much loved daughter-in-law, Roni Lyn; and cherished granddaughter Kaliyah Marie. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Joyce Danford who held a special place in his heart.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at The Ranch where he lived, on March 28, 2026, at Noon. The ceremony will be followed by food and fellowship. Attendees are kindly requested to wear colorful attire. For directions to The Ranch contact Karla Danford.
