Max Lucero of Durango, Colorado passed away peacefully on May 13, 2021.
Max was born July 7th1929 in Colona, New Mexico, He was lovingly raised by his parents Abram and Pablita Lucero. He was a great rancher and sheep herder most of his life. Max enjoyed roaming the range and raising his 8 kids with his wife Grace. Together they made a loving home.
Max is proceeded in death by his wife Grace Lucero and three sons: Max Lucero Jr. of Delta, Colorado, Larry Lucero of Farmington, New Mexico and Ricky Lucero of Farmington New Mexico.
Max is survived by his children: Edward Lucero of Delta, Colorado, Gary Lucero of Farmington, New Mexico, Casey Lucero of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Loraine Valdez of Ignacio, Colorado, Tina Lucero of Farmington New Mexico, and Carol Lucero of Colorado Springs, Colorado and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren. Max was a great story teller and loved to dance. His smile and happy laughter will be greatly missed.
