Marc Fackler was born March 23, 1956, in Poughkeepsie, New York and grew up in Lexington, Kentucky.

He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.

Mutual friends introduced him to his wife, Diane, and they have been married for 41 years. They have one son, Matthew Fackler.

While vacationing in 1992 in Pagosa Springs, CO, Marc said “This is where I want to live.” They made it reality in 1996.

Marc enjoyed chainsaw cutting firewood, watching professional football, and playing the occasional poker game.

Marc bravely fought intestinal cancer from May 2024 and lost the battle on March 30, 2026.

Marc will be missed by family and friends alike.
