Marilyn "Dolly" Dorthea Schmidt

Marilyn Schmidt, 90, of Durango, Colorado, died on July 29, 2023, surrounded by family. She was born on July 27, 1933 in Ohio.

She is survived by her children: Katharine & Kurt Schmidt; nieces and nephews: Dick, Dot, Bob, William & Carolyn; and extended family & wonderful friends. Marilyn was a member & past deacon of the First Presbyterian Church & an active member, past Worthy Matron and Colorado State Representative for the Eastern Star La Plata Chapter #83. She is well known having worked for many years at Fort Lewis College and returned to school for a degree in her late adulthood.

A service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Summit Church, 2917 Aspen Drive, Durango.
