Orlinda Esther Arellano

Orlinda Esther Arellano, a kind and loving soul, peacefully departed this world on October 23, 2024, at the age of 94. Born in Monero, New Mexico, she spent her life in Bayfield, Colorado and her final years in Tucson, Arizona. She will be remembered for her warmth, laughter, and the joy she brought to all who had the privilege to know her. 

Orlinda's life reflected her deep faith, her devotion to family, and her gift for making others feel special. She could light up a room with her smile, and her wonderful stories brought laughter to friends and family alike. Her love for her family was boundless, and her role as a devout Christian was a guiding light that touched many lives. She loved wholeheartedly and left a legacy of grace, compassion, and strength. 

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Manuel Arellano; her parents, Lizardo and Francisca Jaramillo; her sisters, Delia Lopez and Mabel Jaramillo; her brothers, Alex, Orlando, and Gilbert Jaramillo; her son, James Serrano; and her grandson, Eric Valdez. Her memory lives on through her children: Roy Jaramillo, Rosemary Jaramillo, Joann Serrano, and Lee Serrano; her 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom will continue to carry her love and spirit forward. 

A Celebration of Life in honor of Orlinda will be held in June 2025 at Pine Valley Church, 1328 Co Rd 501, Bayfield, Colorado. Details will be shared closer to the date. Though she may be gone, her love will forever be a part of our hearts and lives.
