Patricia “Trish” Quintana peacefully went home to her Father on May 15, 2026, at 10:45 a.m., with loved ones by her side. Trish had a strong Catholic faith with a special devotion to our Mother Mary, that guided her and her family thru a 15 year battle with breast cancer.
She was born on December 27, 1978, in Longmont, Colorado, to Susan and Gerald Salazar. She was raised alongside her sister, Lena, and brother, Anthony, and graduated from Denver Technical Institute in April 2000 with an associate degree in E-Business. She went on to work as a bookkeeper for home builders in the Denver area.
Trish met her husband, Eppie, in Ignacio at his sister’s high school graduation in 2001. From that day forward, they were inseparable. They began their life together in Denver before moving to Farmington, they were married on June 11, 2004. Together, they built a loving home and were blessed with three children: Eppie (21), Philip (20), and Lily (17). The family later returned to Ignacio, where they were joined by their beloved dog, Kowalski (5).
A devoted wife and mother, Trish dedicated herself to her family and her community. She generously gave her time to Ignacio Schools and Saint Ignatius Parish, where she worked in the parish office and served as a religious education teacher. She was also known for her creativity and spirit, contributing to many memorable San Ignacio parade floats.
Trish had a gift for creativity and found joy in painting, crocheting, baking, and pursuing new projects that sparked her interest. Above all, she loved supporting her children, rarely missing a game or event, and proudly cheering on the Ignacio Bobcats in basketball, baseball, cross country and volleyball. She was also a thoughtful planner of celebrations and road trips, creating lasting memories for those she loved.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, her children, her first grandchild expected in August, her extended family, and many dear friends.
Trish was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Salazar. She is survived by her husband, Eppie Quintana; her children, Eppie (Ruby), Philip, and Lily; her mother, Sue; her sister, Lena (Chad); her brother, Anthony; her parents-in-law, Balty and Neoma Quintana; her brothers-in-law, Terrance (Karin) Quintana and Linus Quintana; her sister-in-law, Magdelena Flores (Lionel); as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends, including the Cosio, Cox, Le, Bagdol, and Stewart families.
Catholic services for Trish will be Friday, May 29 at 9:00 AM at St. Ignatius Church in Ignacio. A rosary will be prayed followed immediately by mass for our sweet Trish. Gravesite burial to follow at Ignacio West Cemetery with a reception at Andary Hall at St. Ignatius Parish.
