Roy Marion Ludwig

Mr. Roy Ludwig died peacefully at home on April 22, 2023, in Covington, Washington, at the age of 98.

Roy is survived by his brother, Kenneth; children, Duane, Mary, and Mark; grandchildren, David and Sarah; and nieces and nephews, who were all part of his larger family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lelia; sister, Jewel; and brothers, Carl and Junior.

Roy was born on March 7, 1925, in Bayfield, Colorado, to Frank and Iza. He married Lelia, his college sweetheart, in 1946. He graduated from Fort Lewis in Durango, Colorado, in 1948 with an AA in Mechanical Engineering and from Colorado State University in Fort Collins in 1951 and with a BS in Electrical Engineering. After moving to Denver, Colorado, Roy began working for the United States Air Force as an instructor for 25 years. After that, he taught at opportunity school for 10 years before moving to Seattle, Washington to help raise his grandkids.
