Sally Florence passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on Thursday, February 26, 2026. She was 73. 

Born September 16, 1952, in Cleveland, Ohio, to John and Winnie-Fred Doeg, she grew up playing tennis in California and later settled in Southwest Colorado, where she cared for her horse, Hungry, and her family. She had a natural gift for hospitality and loved a full home, bringing people together with truly unforgettable meals, drinks, and laughter. Beyond her own table, she was generous to those in need, often providing meals or small comforts. Sally will be remembered for her generosity, beauty, and vibrant spirit.She is survived by her son, John May; her grandsons, Connor and Waylon; and her sisters, Sutton Gonzales and Suzanne Ramos. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Katrina May, whom she carried in her heart always

Memorial service at Hood Mortuary on 3/21/26 at 2pm, contributions in her honor may be made to the National Mustang Foundation
