Sharon is survived by her daughter, Ramada Cloud (Charlie); her sisters, Elberta Thompson and Jan Dickson (Carl Dickson); her brothers, Jerald Peabody, Ike Peabody, Rod Grove, and Linda DeWolf; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six nieces; four nephews; and her aunt, Rita Martinez of Gallup, New Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie Thompson; her father, Patrick V. Gallegos of Dulce, New Mexico; Jicarilla Apache Tribe; her grandparents, Lizzie Black Eaton Thompson and Oggie Bill Thompson; her beloved husband, Roger S. Cloud; her brothers, McGarey Gallegos, Ted Jefferson, and Ireland Joe; her sisters, Katherine Thompson and Carol F. Gallegos; her son, Christopher A. Cloud; and her grandson, Christopher Stewart Cloud.

Sharon graduated from Chilocco Indian School in Chilocco, Oklahoma. She later attended Northeastern State College in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and completed nursing training at Mercy Hospital in Durango, Colorado.Sharon dedicated many years of service to the Southern Ute Indian Tribe. She began her career at the old Recreation Hall as a waitress. She also worked as a waitress at the Pino Nuche Restaurant. She went on to serve as an Administrative Assistant for the Southern Ute Drum Department and later worked for the Southern Ute TERO Department, where she remained until her retirement in June 2025.

Sharon was a kind, friendly, and caring person with a wonderful sense of humor and a warm personality. She was always fun to be around and brought joy to everyone who knew her.She enjoyed watching movies, shopping, dining out, attending local events, and taking photographs throughout her life. After retiring, she especially enjoyed taking drives to different places and spending time exploring. Above all, Sharon treasured her family and friends. She always made time for those she loved, and her family meant everything to her.It is difficult to capture a lifetime of love, laughter, and memories in just a few paragraphs. Sharon will be deeply loved, forever remembered, and greatly missed by all who knew her.

A wake will be held at the Southern Ute Chapel and Multi-purpose room on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 6:00 p.m., Celebration of life on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., Burial to follow at Ouray Cemetery
