Linda Marie Sheets, 66, of Durango, passed away in her sleep Saturday, April 13, 2019 at home.
She was born April 13, 1953 to Harold and Patricia Sheets in North Platte, Nebraska. She grew up in North Platte, McCook, Nebraska, La Junta, Colorado and Durango. The family moved to Durango in 1967 and she graduated from Durango High in 1971. She studied nutrition at Moorpark College in California. After beginning her family, they moved to Palm Springs, California, for three years before returning to Durango.
She managed the Village Inn for 13 years and Denny's restaurant for 26 years. Currently she was at City Market (South) Deli.
She attended the First United Methodist Church. Her true love was her grandchildren and family. Hobbies and passions include creating stained glass, rock collecting and attending her grandchildren's events and sports.
She is survived by her daughter, Raelyn (Mike) Anderson-Brown; father: Harold Sheets; siblings: Dennis (Rita) Sheets & Teresa (Harry) Johnson; grandchildren: Kaetlyn & Braeden Brown and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kimber Brown and mother, Patricia Sheets.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at 10:00 a.m., at First United Methodist Church 2917 Aspen Drive, Durango.
