The best daughter, sister and crazy cat mom passed away on April 19, 2025.
Tayler was born in 1994 in Atlanta, GA. She had an eclectic mix of hobbies and activites during her younger years - ballet, tapdance, tennis, drums, basketball and softball, in addition to being on the Dawson County Varsity Golf Team during her middle and high school years. As soon as she graduated from high school, her main goal was to get out of Georgia. She wanted to go places. Her first full time job was as an usher for Braves baseball games at Turner Field. She attended Western Carolina University and was a Park & Rec major. Tayler worked as a cart attendant during her college years at a golf course in NC
A couple of days after graduating from WCU, she packed up her car and headed to Colorado. She had arranged to be a "liftie" at A-Basin ski resort, living in employee housing. For the summer season she worked as a zipline guide in Idaho Springs. After that season, she got an apartment and started at a real estate company in Breckenridge.
In April of 2018 she moved to Cortez, CO to work on a Dude Ranch, despite having no experience for the position! She always managed to convince any jobs she applied for that she was totally the right person for the job.
She joined Crow Canyon Archeological Center next, even though she had just broken her leg in a ski accident. It quickly became her favorite job.
Tayler loved to travel. She would immerse herself completely with the locals, their cuisine and spots off the beaten path. She traveled extensively, but her ideal destinations were in Central America. She much preferred traveling solo so she could do what SHE wanted when she wanted.
Tayler is survived by her broken-hearted parents, Billy and Tracy Hasbrouck of Dawsonville, GA, and her devastated big brother Neal, of Denver, CO. Besides grandparents, she leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. We know she will be missed tremendously by her many friends all across the world. If you were Tayler's friend, you had a friend for life.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 27th at 2:00 p.m. at Crow Canyon Archeological Center, 23390 Road K, Cortez. CO 81321.
If you would like to honor Tayler, donations to the Crow Canyon WEBINAR Series (her brainchild) would be greatly appreciated, either to the above address or at www.crowcanyon.org.
