Thomas Monty Phillips

Thomas “Tom” Monty Phillips passed away peacefully on March 26, 2024. He is survived by his son, Randy W. Phillips (Carrie), his stepsons, Steven Larsen, David Larsen (Lori) Richard Larsen & amp; stepdaughters Linda Mitchell (Thom), and Ruth Larsen. He leaves a legacy of five grandchildren, 47 step-grandchildren, and 5 step-great grandchildren.

 He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Jennie L. Phillips (Sipe); his father Aaron J. Phillips, mother Blanche A. Connor, brothers Aaron R. Phillips, James A. Phillips and Sister Betty Gwen Phillips; stepdaughter Shirley Maugherman (Larsen), and stepdaughter in – law Susan K. Larsen (Tanner).

 Tom was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He enjoyed watching Star Trek, nature channels, reading, fishing, and exploring Indian ruins with Jennie. He was a skilled auto body technician for over forty-five years, working at Red Kincaid Chevrolet in Dolores, Colorado and Morehart Murphy Regional Auto Center in Durango, Colorado, where he retired.

 His surviving family thank Linda and her husband Thom for their tender loving live in assistance for Tom. The step children honor Tom for loving our Mother, providing for her needs and supporting us in our youth and young adult years.

A small graveside service will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024, noon, at the Blanding, Utah cemetery.
