Billie Mae Vance, 86, was born in Cleveland, OH on March 27, 1935 and she passed peacefully from this life on October 17, 2021 in Durango, CO. Billie married Paul Vance on August 21, 1953 and they resided in North Royalton, OH with their 3 sons until 1972. She worked for AT&T in Cleveland, OH and Indianapolis, IN until she retired and moved to Durango, CO in 2008.
Billie loved dogs and had her very special little Yorkie, Suzy, for many years. She enjoyed arts and crafts festivals, state fairs and local festivals and loved decorating her homes with the oak furniture and country décor she found at these events. Billie loved her family and was well known for remembering every family member’s birthday and anniversary with cards without fail every year.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents, William Kepke and Eleanor Mae Hoag Kepke and her son, Dale Vance. She is survived by her sons, Neil Vance (Becky) and Gary Vance (Tricia); grandchildren, Shannon Vance, Brian Vance (Erica), Jessica Schroeder, Brad Vance, Jeff Vance (Savannah) and Charlie Vance; great-grandchildren, Michael Vance, Mathew Walker, Natalya Walker, Leona Walker, Alyssa Schroeder, Heather Schroeder and soon-to-arrive Luke Vance; numerous nephews and nieces and their families.
The family would like to thank everyone at Four Corners Healthcare Center and the Hospice Nurses for their love and care of Billie. Per Billie’s wishes, a private family committal will be held at a future date.
