Victoria Mozgai

Victoria Mozgai passed away Sunday, January 4, 2026, peacefully at home. She was 83 years old. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, January 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church, Bayfield, CO. A reception will follow at the Pine River Senior Center.

Vicky was born August 9, 1942, to Ralph and Helen Cataldi in Highland Park, NJ. She married Joe Mozgai shortly after graduating high school on June 17, 1961, in Highland Park, NJ. They shared a happy marriage until Joe's passing in 2019.

Vicky devoted herself to raising her family, taking great pride in her home while enjoying gardening, bridge, sewing, and knitting. No matter the occasion, she always made sure there was a home-cooked meal waiting, whether it was a simple breakfast or a cherished Sunday dinner. She began her career as an insurance agent in 1979 in VA and retired in 2002 in Longmont, CO. In 2007, she relocated to Bayfield, CO, where she was actively involved with the Pine River Senior Center, serving as both a Treasurer and Board member. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society in Longmont, CO, and the Preceptor Beta sorority in Bayfield, CO.

She is survived by her children: Thomas (Jennifer) Mozgai, Dawn (Michael) Fitzgerald and Wendy (Charles) Hoffmann; grandchildren: Sean, Carly, Lindsey, Samantha and Christina; 4 step-grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren: Darci May, Orion, Bo, Jordyn and Aniyah; and many friends and extended family including her brother Frankie Cataldi. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Gene Mozgai, and her parents; Ralph and Helen Cataldi, and sister Geraldine Brewer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church or Pine River Senior Center.
