Virginia "Nany R" Lee Richmond

Virginia “Nany R” Lee Richmond, 83 died Wednesday May 21, 2025. She was born on December 12, 1941, in Loop TX, the daughter of Virgil and Ellen Clark. She attended school in Lovington, Tatum and House NM. She attended college and NMSU in Las Cruces NM. She married Owen Jimmie Richmond in Roswell NM on February 13, 1965. They made their home in Ignacio Co on Fair Field Farms. She loved being around people. She worked at the Ignacio Shur Valu in the Bakery and was known as the donut lady. She also substitute taught at the Ignacio School District and then later went to work in several of the local restaurants. She was an avid Ignacio Bobcat fan all her life. She spent her spare time taking care of her houseplants and yard.

She is survived by her children Jeff (Denise) Richmond of Ignacio, Michelle “Susie” Richmond of Fort Worth TX, her four beloved grandchildren Shane (Jessica) Richmond of Ottawa KS, Kelton Richmond & Keegan Richmond of Ignacio Co., Payton Lyon of Abilene TX ,3 great grandchildren Reata , Hank and Millie (soon to be), her sister Becky Gosney of Ignacio, Co, her sister-n-law June (Tom) Ingle of Universal City TX, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be at 10am at the Ignacio East Cemetery on June 20,2025. If you are interested in visiting after the service, we will have refreshments at Fair Field Farms (399 CR 315 Ignacio Co) for her family and friends.
