Vivian Alice Bedford

Vivian Alice Bedford was born to Herbert and Lena Plummer in Caribou, Maine. She was the second girl born of seven daughters and one brother. She moved to California to marry her husband, Ralph Bedford in 1956 and was married for 55 years before his passing. Vivian has 5 children, Susan (Jerry) Armijo, James (Alma) Bedford, Janet Arnold, Timothy Bedford and Matthew Bedford.

She has 6 grandchildren, Libby (Richard) Phoenix/Lawson, Lacey (Adam) Askeland, Nikki Evans, Blake (Erin) Evans, Charlee Pashby, and Jesse Bedford. There are also 9 great grandchildren: Mariah, Madison, Mackenzie, Preston, Lukas, Chevelle, Atticus, Trulee and Flynn.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, son Matthew, her parents and all but one of her siblings, Darlene Murphy.

Vivian and Ralph moved to Bayfield, Colorado in 1980. She worked in many places making pizzas at the Mini Merc, cooking lunch at new life academy, TSA maintenance at the airport as well as working in the deli and the gift shop. She was the longest working employee at the airport for 35 plus years.

She loved cooking, baking, camping, hunting and fishing with her family and friends. Vivian was also one of the original members of the Pine Valley Church in Bayfield, Colorado. We are at peace in knowing she is now in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and all of her family and friends who have passed before her.

Services will be held graveside at Bayfield Cemetery on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 2:00 pm by Pastor Scott Kujath.
