Friends of Paul Wilbert will meet at 3 p.m. Saturday at Buckley Park for a bike procession to the Powerhouse Science Center, 1330 Camino del Rio. After a social time starting at 4 p.m., a memorial service will begin at 5 p.m.
Paul Wilbert was born to John and Charlotte Wilbert on May 5, 1955, in San Francisco. After graduating from Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, California, Wilbert earned a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Oregon in the late 1970s.
While at UO, he met his future wife, Felicia Libo. The couple married in 1982, in Eugene, Oregon.
Wilbert is survived by his son, Thomas Wilbert, of Durango; daughter, Emily McGough, of Ophir; former wife, Felicia Libo, of Durango; mother, Charlotte Wilbert, of San Luis Obispo, California; sister, Christine Wilbert, of Grover Beach, California; brother, Neil Wilbert, of Bozeman, Montana; and numerous extended family members.
